Providing for the submission to the qualified electors of the City of Philadelphia of the proposal set forth in a Resolution approved by Council proposing an amendment of The Philadelphia Home Rule Charter relating to the "resign to run" requirement to provide that, as of the date specified, no person who holds an elective public office other than a City office may be a candidate for any City office unless that person first resigns his or her elective office, all for the purpose of leveling the playing field for elected City officials, who are required by the Charter to resign before seeking any public office other than the office currently held; and authorizing the appropriate officers to publish notice and to make arrangements for the special election.
