Honoring the Schools and Principals of the Fourth Council District for Their Ongoing Commitment to Coordination and Staying Informed Through Monday Morning Roll Call Meetings.

WHEREAS, The Office of Councilmember Curtis Jones Jr. convenes weekly Monday Morning Roll Call meetings at 7:00 a.m. as a forum for communication, and collaboration with school leaders throughout the Fourth Council District; and
WHEREAS, These meetings provide an opportunity for principals and school representatives to share real-time updates, discuss challenges, highlight successes, and identify areas where support and coordination with City government may be beneficial; and
WHEREAS, The consistent participation of school leadership reflects a strong commitment to transparency, accountability, and the academic and social well-being of students across the district; and
WHEREAS, Through these weekly gatherings, the Office of Councilmember Jones is able to maintain a deeper understanding of the conditions, needs, and achievements within local schools, ensuring that the voices of educators are heard and considered in policymaking and constituent services; and
WHEREAS, The collaboration fostered during these meetings strengthens relationships between schools, local government, and the broader community, contributing to safer, more supportive, and more effective learning environments; and
WHEREAS, The following schools and their principals and representatives have demonstrated dedication by participating in the Monday Morning Roll Call meetings, including Overbrook High School, led by Principal Julian L. Graham; Science Leadership Academy at Beeber, led by Principal Christopher Johnson; E. Washington Rhodes Elementary School, led by Principal Tiffanni Osborne; Guion S. Bluford Elementary School, led by Principal Tangela McClam; Cassidy Elementary School, led by Principal Dr. Herman Douglas Jr.; A. Phillip Randolph Career and Technical High School led by Principal Dr. Michelle Burns; Lankenau Environmental Science Magnet High School, led by Principal Jessica Naugle McAtamney; Roxborough High School, led by Principal Ms. Kristin Williams Smalley; KIPP Philadelphia, led by Principal Courtney Moragne; The School of the Future, led by Principal Dr. John Smith; Samuel Gompers School, led by Principal Phillip DeLuca; alongside the participation of State Representative Darisha Parker; and
WHEREAS, Their ongoing engagement exemplifies a shared commitment to improving educational outcomes and addressing the needs of students and families throughout the Fourth Council District; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That it hereby honors and recognizes the above-named schools, principals, and representatives for their active participation in the Monday Morning Roll Call meetings and for their continued dedication to the students and communities they serve.
