WHEREAS, “Throughout my career, I have had over 10 schedulers. None have been more effective and cherished as Crystal Tann.” -Councilmember Curtis Jones Jr; and

 

WHEREAS, “Crystal Tann retires after more than a decade of service in the Office of Councilmember Curtis Jones, Jr. It is impossible not to recognize the wealth of knowledge she has shared over the years. I have always appreciated her unwavering dedication and deep commitment to the well-being of our seniors. Wishing her all the best in this well-deserved next chapter of her life.” -Charlita Davis; and

 

WHEREAS, “Crystal has been a trusted and valued colleague for 11 years whose love and support for senior citizens is undeniable. Her contributions to the office have provided invaluable help to our constituents and she will be sorely missed.” -Joshua Cohen; and

 

WHEREAS, “Crystal has established herself as a compassionate keeper of the 4th District community, tirelessly dedicated to assisting those who are less fortunate, especially those of the older population. She has served as a political ambassador for more than a decade, organizing impactful community and political campaigns while championing justice and equity within the 4th District. Known for her reverence for history and those who paved the way, often referring to them as ‘queen mothers’. Crystal has earned her own distinguished title through her commitment to the betterment of the 4th District. Her extraordinary efforts have solidified her legacy as a true pillar of the 4th District community.” -Ytina Dudley; and

 

WHEREAS, “Crystal has been a pillar and a stanch champion for the communities she has served. She is a professional asset with constituent services, inter-department connections, and especially her seniors. I have worked very closely with Crystal for many years and she has given me the tools and knowledge to support the constituents of the 4th District.” -Gail Young; and

 

WHEREAS, “Crystal's insight and support during my onboarding were invaluable and greatly appreciated.” -Lena Hughey; and

 

WHEREAS, “Her welcoming nature, warmth, and kindness have created an environment where colleagues and constituents alike have felt supported, respected, and encouraged to excel.” -Caroline Stack; and

 

WHEREAS, “A person could not ask for a better work mentor than Crystal Tann. Her authenticity, work ethic, and desire to assist the public has resulted in a West Philadelphia community forever indebted to her tireless service.”-Gabriel Hart; and

WHEREAS, “Ms. Crystal is an undeniable force. Her wisdom and insight far exceed her years. Her dedication to her craft is unmatched. With remarkable skill and passion, she is wholeheartedly committed to uplifting both the community and the constituents of the 4th District.” -Jahya Cottries; and

 

WHEREAS, “Crystal has taken the senior community in the 4th District and hid them in her heart as she advocated and worked for them tirelessly.” -Kim Fuller; and

 

WHEREAS, “Ms. Crystal is a mentor to many of the 4th District Staff members. Her patience, wittiness, and passion ensure that the 4th District will always be a place for continuous development. Thank you for your mentorship and patience.” -Grozelda Chavis; and

 

WHEREAS, On behalf of the 4th District team, we honor and congratulate Crystal Tann for her unrivaled performance and dedication to the office and our constituents. After more than ten years of devoted service, Crystal Tann is retiring, and her contributions will be missed by all who had the privilege of working with her. now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, Hereby honors and congratulates Crystal Tann, a beloved colleague and employee, for her tenure as a valued staff member in the office of Councilmember Curtis Jones Jr., upon her retirement.

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to Crystal Tann as a token of the sincere admiration of this legislative body.
