Authorizing transfers in appropriations for Fiscal Year 2021 from the General Fund, the Council to the General Fund, certain or all City offices, departments, boards and commissions, for the purpose of further implementing Council’s “New Normal Jobs Initiative” and adjusting Council’s internal appropriations.

SECTION 1. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the following transfers in appropriations for Fiscal Year 2021 within the General Fund:

SECTION 2. It is the intent of Council through this Ordinance to support the following initiatives: Anti-Violence Programming; the “Same Day Work and Pay” program; CLIP (Community Life Improvement Program); “WorkReady” program (providing meaningful summer employment for teens and young adults); Commercial Corridor Job Training program; “Hire! Philly” to launch the “Pipeline! Philly” platform; Mural Arts Program; and an internal transfer within Council to cover increased COVID-19 related costs and targeted vaccine outreach.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
