Approving a final plan for the establishment of the Aramingo Avenue Shopping District Neighborhood Improvement District (“District”) and authorizing and directing the Committee on Rules to take all further actions required by the Community and Economic Improvement Act prior to enactment of an ordinance that would formally establish the District.
Body
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Resolution No. 080267 (adopted March 6, 2008), Council initiated action to establish a neighborhood improvement district in the Aramingo Avenue area, known as the Aramingo Avenue Shopping District (“District”), and approved a preliminary plan for the District, all as authorized by the Community and Economic Improvement Act (“Act”) (53 P.S. §18101 et seq.); and
WHEREAS, In accordance with the Act and Resolution No. 080267, the Committee on Rules, on April 30, 2008, held a public hearing on the preliminary plan and amended the preliminary plan by removing certain properties from the list of properties to be assessed and adjusting the budget according; and
WHEREAS, Council now wishes to approve the amended plan as the final plan for the District, and to direct that further actions be taken as required by the Act prior to the enactment of Bill No. 080251, which would formally establish the District; now therefore
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That Council hereby approves as the final plan for the Aramingo Avenue Shopping District (“District”) the plan set forth in Exhibit “A” to Bill No. 080251, as amended April 30, 2008.
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Committee on Rules, is authorized and directed to take all further actions required by the Community and Economic Improvement Act (“Act”) prior to enactment of Bill No. 080251, which would formally establish the District, including the holding of a public hearing on the final plan. The Clerk of Council shall arrange for all mailings and publication of all notices required by the Act, as directed by the Chair of the Committee on Rules.
