Title
Approving the redevelopment contract of the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Philadelphia for the redevelopment and urban renewal of a portion of the Eastwick Urban Renewal Area, designated as Parcel No. C.1.b also sometimes identified by house number and street address as 6701-6749 Norwitch drive and authorizing the Redevelopment Authority to execute the redevelopment contract with Automall Realty, Inc. and to take such action as may be necessary to effectuate the redevelopment contract.
Body
      WHEREAS, The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Philadelphia (hereinafter "Redevelopment Authority") has prepared and submitted an urban renewal plan and a redevelopment proposal for the redevelopment of the Eastwick Urban Renewal Area,  (hereinafter "Eastwick"), which said plan and proposal were approved by Ordinance of the Council on May 26, 1958; and
 
      WHEREAS, The Redevelopment Authority has prepared a redevelopment contract for a portion of the Eastwick Urban Renewal Area, designated as Parcel No. C.1.b also sometimes identified by house number and street address as 6701-6749 Norwitch drive (hereinafter "Parcel C.1.b").  The area of said Parcel C.1.b is bounded as follows:
 
Parcel No. C.1.b (6701-6749 Norwitch drive).
 
ALL THOSE CERTAIN lots and pieces of ground situate in the Fortieth Ward of the City of Philadelphia beginning at a point on the northwesterly side of Norwitch drive (eighty feet wide) fifteen and thirty-four hundredths feet southwest of the intersection of the northeasterly side of former Sixty-seventh street (eighty feet wide); thence extending south twenty five degrees forty five minutes thirty-three seconds west along the northwesterly side of Norwitch drive, four hundred ninety eight and ninety-four hundredths feet to a point; thence extending north sixty four degrees fourteen minutes twenty seven seconds west, at right-angles to Norwitch drive three hundred forty one and thirty-one hundredths feet to a point; thence extending north twenty nine degrees forty five minutes fifty two seconds east, along a line parallel to and ninety five feet from the center line of the Chester branch of the Philadelphia and Reading Railway, being also a right-of-way line for Philadelphia Electric Company, five hundred sixty five feet to a point; thence extending south fifty two degrees eight minutes forty two seconds east, along a line parallel to former Sixty-seventh street, three hundred eight and seven tenths feet to the first mentioned point and place of beginning.
 
      The said redevelopment contract is in substantial conformity with the urban renewal plan and the and the redevelopment proposal approved by the Council; and
 
      WHEREAS, Automall Realty, Inc. desires to enter into the said redevelopment contract for Parcel C.1.b.
 
      RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That the redevelopment contract submitted by the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Philadelphia (hereinafter "Redevelopment Authority") for the redevelopment of that portion of the Eastwick Urban Renewal Area, as hereinabove more particularly described, is hereby approved.  City Council authorizes the Redevelopment Authority to proceed with minor changes in substantial conformity with the hereby approved redevelopment contract.  The Redevelopment Authority is authorized to execute the hereby approved redevelopment contract with Automall Realty, Inc. (hereinafter "Redeveloper").  The Redevelopment Authority and the Redeveloper are authorized to take such action in substantial conformity to the redevelopment contract as may be necessary to carry it out.
 
      RESOLVED, The Redevelopment Authority and the Redeveloper are authorized to prepare or cause to be prepared for introduction into the Council such ordinances or resolutions as may be necessary for changes in zoning, streets, alleys, public ways, street patterns, location and relocation of public utilities, and related items which are required in order to facilitate and effectuate the redevelopment contract and disposition supplement hereby approved.  Accordingly, the Council hereby declares that it will cooperate in helping to carry out the redevelopment contract and disposition supplement and requests the various officials, departments, boards and agencies of the City having administrative responsibilities in the premises likewise to cooperate to such end and to exercise their respective functions and powers in a manner consistent with the redevelopment contract and disposition supplement.
