Title
Amending Title 10 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “Regulation of Individual Conduct and Activity,” by prohibiting the attendance of children under the age of six at certain movies shown at movie theatre establishments after 7:00 P.M., and amending Title 9 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “Regulation of Businesses, Trades, and Professions,” by conditioning licenses for the exhibition of motion pictures on compliance with that prohibition, all under certain terms and conditions.

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. Title 9 of the Philadelphia Code, entitled “Regulation of Businesses, Trades, and Professions,” is hereby amended to read as follows:

§10-308. Prohibition on Attendance of Children at Movies Shown After 7:00 P.M.
(1) No adult shall bring a child under the age of six into a movie theatre to attend a movie after 7:00 P.M., unless that movie is rated “G” for general audiences.
(2) No movie theatre establishment shall permit a child under the age of six to attend a movie after 7:00 P.M., unless that movie is rated “G” for general audiences.
(3) Any adult found in violation of this Section shall be subject to a fine not to exceed fifty dollars ($50.00).
(4) Any movie theatre establishment found in violation of this Section shall be subject to a fine not to exceed three hundred dollars ($300.00).
