THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. Mayfair Community Development Corporation, its successors and assigns, are hereby authorized to construct, own and maintain the following structures:

Benches

The metal benches, colored black with anti-graffiti coating, will not display any advertisement. The benches, located approximately three feet (3') off the curbline, are two sizes: four foot (4') length near corners, six foot length (6') mid block. The benches, placed parallel to the curbline facing the building façade, will be anchored to the existing concrete sidewalk. It is anticipated that four benches, (2) four foot and (2) six foot, will be installed per side of street per block face.

Raised Planters

The metal planters, colored black with an anti-graffiti coating, are two feet six inches (2'-6") diameter and two feet six inches (2'-6") high and will be located approximately three feet (3') off the curbline. It is anticipated that four (4) planters will be installed per side of street per block face. Each planter will contain a tree.

The exact number and location of the proposed raised planters and benches are not known at this time. The Department of Streets will maintain the authority to review and approve the location of each planter and bench prior to installation. The installations will occur as funding becomes available.

SECTION 2. The construction, use and maintenance of the raised planters and benches listed in Section 1 shall be in accordance with the laws, rules and regulations of the City of Philadelphia, and specifically tho...
