Honoring and Congratulating the Independence Blue Cross Foundation on the Occasion of Its Fifteenth Anniversary.

WHEREAS, The Council of the City of Philadelphia takes great pleasure in recognizing organizations that contribute to the benefit of their communities and ultimately all citizens of this region; and
WHEREAS, The Independence Blue Cross Foundation is positively impacting health; and
WHEREAS, The Foundation has awarded more than $100 million since 2011 to lead initiatives for healthier communities across Southeastern Pennsylvania; and
WHEREAS, The Foundation’s collaborative efforts with over 240 organizations have impacted more than 350,000 lives annually; and
WHEREAS, The Foundation believes everyone deserves the opportunity to be healthy and well; and
WHEREAS, The City of Philadelphia is committed to the Independence Blue Cross Foundation’s mission; and
WHEREAS, The Council of the City of Philadelphia salutes the tireless efforts of the Independence Blue Cross Foundation to advance community health for all; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, Does hereby honor and congratulate the Independence Blue Cross Foundation on the occasion of its fifteenth anniversary.
FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this Resolution be presented to the
Independence Blue Cross Foundation in recognition of the sincere sentiment of this Legislative body.
