Title
Authorizing the Commissioner of Public Property to acquire fee simple title to certain parcels of property owned by the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Philadelphia, known as Parcels 5 and 8 of the Eastwick Urban Renewal Area Stage I, bounded generally by Redwing place, Meadowlark place, Lapwing place and Longspur place, and in the general vicinity of the northeast corner of Island avenue and Lindbergh boulevard, under certain terms and conditions.
Body
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. The Commissioner of Public Property, on behalf of the City of Philadelphia, is hereby authorized to acquire, for nominal consideration, fee simple title to a certain parcel of real estate with any improvements thereon known as Parcels 5 and 8 of Eastwick Urban Renewal Area Stage I, as more specifically described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. The property shall be used as a park under the jurisdiction of the Recreation Department. The authorization of this Section 1 is subject to the following: (a) all terms and conditions shall be deemed appropriate by the Commissioner of Public Property; and (b) title to the Premises must be found to be (i) good and marketable and free and clear of all liens, restrictions, easements, encumbrances, tenancies, rights of occupancies and other title objections except any such restrictions that may be acceptable to the Commissioner of Public Property; and (ii) insurable as aforesaid at ordinary rates by any reputable title insurance chosen by City.

SECTION 2. The City Solicitor is hereby authorized to review and to approve all instruments and documents necessary to effectuate this Ordinance, which instruments and documents shall contain such terms and conditions as the City Solicitor shall deem necessary and proper to protect the interests of the City.

SECTION 3. The Chief Clerk shall keep on file and make available for public inspection all Exhibits to this Ordinance.
