Honoring Pride House Philadelphia 2026 and their local partners, the Philadelphia Falcons, for fostering, uplifting, and advancing a welcoming space for LGBTQ+ athletes, sports fans, and allies during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

WHEREAS, Pride House Philadelphia is a local chapter of an international network with a mission to develop safe spaces for LGBTQ+ and allied viewers to enjoy the FIFA World Cup; and
WHEREAS, the Philadelphia Falcons Soccer Club was founded in June 1989 as an inclusive space for soccer players in an environment where fair play, fitness, friendship and fun can all flourish. It was founded when soccer player Drew Adair, recognized the urgent need for an LGBTQIA+ space for soccer players, and organized, advertised, and built a small team of eight players practicing on the Drexel University field hockey green before officially entering a league and naming the team, "Falcons" that October, expanding with a women's team in 1998, and ultimately growing to 1,200 members. The Philadelphia Falcons supports teams in leagues across Philadelphia and is on the forefront of community; and
WHEREAS, During large-scale international sporting events, the Pride House is a venue welcoming LGBTQ+ soccer fans, athletes, and allies, by partnering with local hubs throughout the events' host cities. In collaboration with the Philadelphia Falcons, Pride House Philadelphia aims to create a space not only for the LGBTQ+ community to watch big sporting events but to feel safe, empowered, and revel in a sense of community; and
WHEREAS, More than just watch parties, Pride House Philadelphia will feature family activities, artist collaborations, movie nights, drag shows, and educational spaces for LGBTQ+ fans, athletes, and allies to engage in conversations around inclusion in sports throughout the World Cup; and
