Title
To amend an Ordinance authorizing La Salle University to construct, own and maintain an overhead pedestrian bridge crossing the 5600 block of E. Wister Street connecting the Main Campus with Germantown Hospital, under certain terms and conditions.

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1.         Bill No. 070992 is hereby amended to allow a pedestrian bridge support and/or abutment in the right-of-way and for a dimensional change in the pedestrian bridge by substituting Section 2 below for Section 1 in Bill No. 070992.
 
SECTION 2.    Permission is hereby granted to La Salle University, to construct, own and maintain an overhead pedestrian bridge crossing the 5600 block of E. Wister Street connecting the Main Campus with Germantown Hospital.  The overhead pedestrian bridge spans the entire right-of-way of E. Wister Street, approximately fifty feet (50'-0”), with a minimum vertical clearance of fourteen feet six inches (14'-6”) above the roadway. The centerline of the overhead pedestrian bridge is located approximately three hundred and thirty feet (330'-0”) north of the north curb line of W. Clarkson Street.  The overhead pedestrian bridge is approximately thirteen feet six inches (13'- 6”) wide.  Permission is also given to construct, own and maintain a pedestrian bridge support and/or abutment (with appropriate foundation) encroaching on the right-of-way approximately four feet (4') deep onto the west side of E. Wister Street and then along the said west side of E. Wister Street approximately eighteen feet (18') with a height, as appropriate, to support the said pedestrian bridge.
SECTION 3.         All other terms and conditions shall remain in full effect.
 
SECTION 4.          This Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
