WHEREAS, The Council of the City of Philadelphia recognizes that great schools do more than provide strong academics; they also help shape students of integrity, responsibility, empathy, leadership, and good character; and
WHEREAS, Ad Prima Charter School has been designated a 2026 State School of Character and National School of Character, a distinguished recognition awarded by Character.org to schools that demonstrate a deep commitment to building strong culture, ethical leadership, and character growth in students; and
WHEREAS, Ad Prima Charter School is the only school in Pennsylvania to receive this designation in 2026, and the first school in Philadelphia ever to earn this honor; and
WHEREAS, This recognition reflects the intentional work of a school community that has made character, respect, accountability, and student development central to its mission and daily practice; and
WHEREAS, Ad Prima Charter School has long been recognized for its commitment to educating the whole child and helping students grow not only in academic achievement, but also in citizenship, leadership, communication, and peaceful conflict resolution; and
WHEREAS, This designation brings distinction not only to Ad Prima Charter School, but also to the City of Philadelphia, and reflects the importance of school communities that prepare young people to lead with knowledge, values, and a sense of responsibility to others; and
