Congratulating Officer Mark Kenneth Moore on his retirement from the Philadelphia Police Department and recognizing him for more than three decades of service to the City of Philadelphia.

WHEREAS, On July 31, 1975, Mark Kenneth Moore joined the ranks of the Philadelphia Police Department under the badge number 9575, and served as a police officer of the 12th district as a patrolman; and
WHEREAS, During his decades-long career, Officer Moore served in numerous units, including the narcotics field unit, the narcotics enforcement team, the homicide division, burglary unit BTI, and later the ATF unit; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Officer Moore has received countless citations and awards for his honorable efforts. His valor and dignity service the City of Philadelphia have been demonstrated time and again at multiple posts during his service to the City. Officer Moore’s final assignment placed him as an investigator of the civil affairs unit, from which he will be retiring June 17th 2023; and
WHEREAS, For years, Officer Moore has worked with the City Council of Philadelphia, to ensure the safety and well-being of City Council members, staff, and residents alike. His deep love and passion for public service stands as an exemplary example for current and later police officers; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, that it hereby congratulates Officer Mark Kenneth Moore on his retirement from the Philadelphia Police Department and recognizing him for more than three decades of service to the City of Philadelphia.
FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to Officer Mark Kenneth Moore as a token of the sincere admiration of this legislative body.
