WHEREAS, The City of Philadelphia is a tremendous hub of talent, dedication to hard work, commitment to collaboration, and endless spirit, which makes it an ideal location for entrepreneurship, innovation, the arts, and the creative and nighttime economies; and

WHEREAS, Creative Economy and Arts in Education Month was first established in 2023 to affirm the City of Philadelphia's commitment to supporting local creatives with entrepreneurial education while promoting our growth-filled arts, culture, and creative industries; and

WHEREAS, Artists, cultural nonprofits, and creative businesses produce cultural goods and services that generate jobs, revenue, and quality of life in our great City; and

WHEREAS, On March 31st, the Philadelphia Department of Commerce presents the 3rd Annual Creative and Nighttime Economies and Arts in Education forum to celebrate creatives in Philadelphia and amplify engagement with City leaders; and

WHEREAS, The forum will shine a spotlight on the vibrant creative and nighttime economy in Philadelphia, with the goal of sharing and spreading awareness of the importance of artists and creators in the City; and

WHEREAS, Residents on the frontlines of Philadelphia's arts ecosystem will be supported with entrepreneurial education while also gaining rare insights into the City's arts, culture, and nighttime economy; and

WHEREAS, We applaud the tremendous positive impact of the creative and nighttime economies and arts in education that benefits individuals, organizations, entrepreneurs, and our region's economic vitality; and

WHEREAS, We want to thank everyone who works in these respective sectors for cultivating more awareness and attention to our successes, as well as all the work done to date to make Philadelphia more vibrant; now, therefore, be it
