Recognizing and honoring the Imhotep Charter High School boys' basketball team for winning its sixth consecutive Public League Championship and celebrating its historic achievement in Philadelphia high school basketball.

WHEREAS, The Imhotep Charter High School Panthers secured a 39-35 victory over West Philadelphia High School in the 2026 Public League Boys' Basketball Championship at the John E. Glaser Arena at La Salle University; and
WHEREAS, The Panthers demonstrated resilience and composure in the final moments of the championship game, forcing two critical turnovers and converting late free throws by Zaahir Muhammad-Gray and Ian Smith to secure the victory; and
WHEREAS, Junior forward Zaahir Muhammad-Gray, who missed last year's championship due to a torn ACL, delivered an outstanding performance with 15 points and earned Most Valuable Player honors, exemplifying perseverance and dedication; and
WHEREAS, Under the steady leadership of Head Coach Andre Noble, the Panthers have now captured six consecutive Public League championships, becoming the first team in the more than 100-year history of the league to accomplish this remarkable feat; and
WHEREAS, Coach Noble, a Boston native who has become one of the most accomplished coaches in Philadelphia high school basketball history, has guided the Panthers to thirteen Public League championships overall, fostering excellence both on and off the court; and
WHEREAS, The Imhotep Panthers' 20-6 overall record and 9-1 league record this season reflect their discipline, teamwork, and unwavering commitment to achievement; and
