WHEREAS, Women's History Month 2026 provides an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the historic achievements, leadership, and enduring contributions of women in public service throughout the City of Philadelphia; and

WHEREAS, Under the leadership of The Honorable Rochelle Bilal, the Philadelphia Sheriff's Office continues to uphold its vital mission of safeguarding the courts, maintaining public safety, and faithfully executing the responsibilities entrusted to the office; and

WHEREAS, The women of the Philadelphia Sheriff's Office serve with distinction across all ranks and divisions, demonstrating excellence, professionalism, and integrity in every aspect of their duties; and

WHEREAS, During times of staffing shortages and heightened operational demands, these women have shown extraordinary resilience, unwavering commitment, and steadfast dedication to ensuring the uninterrupted performance of the office's critical responsibilities; and

WHEREAS, Their leadership, collaboration, strength, and perseverance embody the highest standards of public trust and civic responsibility, serving as an inspiration to colleagues and to the citizens of Philadelphia; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, Hereby recognizes and honors the women of the Philadelphia Sheriff's Office during Women's History Month 2026 for their tireless service, sacrifice, and invaluable contributions to the safety and well-being of the City of Philadelphia.

FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be presented to The Honorable Rochelle Bilal, on behalf of the women of the Philadelphia Sheriff's Office, as a lasting expression of the sincere gratitude and appreciation of the Council of the City of Philade...
