Honoring the United Age Group Track Club Association for their decades of contributions and dedication to youth track and field development in Philadelphia.

WHEREAS, Since 1977, the United Age Group Track Club Association (UAGTCA) has provided a remarkable and dedicated track and field program for the youth of Philadelphia; and
WHEREAS, The United Age Group Track Club Association's mission is to provide a quality and organized opportunity for youth track and field within the City of Philadelphia; and
WHEREAS, Due to the existing travel barriers for youth sports within the city, UAGTCA has taken it upon itself to help close these barriers and provide track and field teams and meets near and around the City. The UAGTCA recognizes the importance of providing competitive sports for young athletes and works to ensure that these individuals are not excluded from opportunities due to travel barriers; and
WHEREAS, In the first year of operation, UAGTCA had 300 competitors that participated in the track meets. Now, the meets draw over 1,000 young athletes each week from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and New York. The annual youth invitational attracts elite athletes, using the meet as preparation for national competitions; and
WHEREAS, The current teams under the UAGTCA are the Delco Stallions Track Club, Mt. Airy Track Club, Mallery Challengers, and Philadelphia Express Club; and
WHEREAS, The UAGTCA is powered by volunteer coaches and has produced some of the finest track and field athletes in the City's history. The UAGTCA has trained and mentored professional athletes such as Kyle Pitts, a tight end with the Atlanta Falcons, DJ Moore, a wide receiver with the Chicago Bears, and Nia Ali, a Silver Medalist in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and
WHEREAS, The UAGTCA has allowed countless young people in Philadelphia to compete at the highest levels for over 40 years. The work of UAGTCA benefit...
