Authorizing the Commissioner of Public Property, on behalf of the City of Philadelphia, to lease from The School District of Philadelphia certain property located in the vicinity of Byberry and Academy Roads for further sublease to the Academy Sports Association under certain terms and conditions.
Body
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. The Commissioner of Public Property, on behalf of the City of Philadelphia, is authorized to lease for nominal consideration from The School District of Philadelphia certain property located in the vicinity of Byberry and Academy Roads as more fully described on Exhibit 1 ("Property") for a term of ten (10) years ("Lease").

SECTION 2. The Commissioner of Public Property, on behalf of the City of Philadelphia, is authorized to sublease the Property for nominal consideration to the Academy Sports Association for a term of ten (10) years for use as ball fields and to provide athletic and recreational activities for members of the community ("Sublease").

SECTION 3. The City Solicitor is authorized to include in the Lease and Sublease such terms and conditions as in the opinion of the City Solicitor shall be necessary and proper to protect the interests of the City.

SECTION 4. The Chief Clerk of City Council shall keep on file all exhibits referenced in this Ordinance and shall make them available for inspection by the public during regular office hours.
