Honoring and recognizing the Tesla Science Foundation (TSF) by declaring February 24th 2025 "Tesla Science Foundation Day" in the City of Philadelphia, celebrating the work of TSF in cultivating scientific innovation and advancing the legacy of Nikola Tesla in the City of Philadelphia.

WHEREAS, The Tesla Science Foundation (TSF) was founded in 2004 in Philadelphia when it was established as "Tesla's Team of Inventors" with the mission of promoting Nikola Tesla's life and legacy. Initially created as a collaborative space for inventors to work and learn together, the organization quickly discovered widespread interest in Tesla's contributions to science and technology. This enthusiasm led to the formation of the Nikola Tesla Inventors Club, which has since flourished with branches across multiple cities and countries; and
WHEREAS, TSF's work in Philadelphia has included an ongoing collaborating with American Paradigm Schools on the "Introducing Tesla to Schools in America" project, a curriculum that integrates Tesla's principles of innovation into art, music, and science; and
WHEREAS, The Tesla Science Foundation has actively volunteered at the Franklin Institute for years, where they donated a Tesla bust now displayed in the Electricity Room, as well as providing live demonstrations of Tesla's experiments that have attracted significant public interest. Additionally, their work with charter schools and local communities has played a vital role in introducing young people to Tesla's scientific achievements, philosophy, and motivational programs; and
WHEREAS, February 24th is a significant day in the life of Nikola Tesla as on February 24th, 1893, Nikola Tesla delivered his groundbreaking speech "On Light and Other High Frequency Phenomena" at the Franklin Institute which marked a pivotal moment in the understanding of high-frequency electricity, laying the groundwork for future advancements in fields like wireless power transmission, radio techno...
