THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
 
      SECTION 1.      Title 14 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

ยง14-1605.  Regulated Uses.

      (2)      Definitions:

            (v)      Off Track Betting Facility.  Any facility which, as a portion of its operation, receives or solicits bets or wagers for events which do not occur on the premises of that facility.
 
            (w)      Bet or wager.  The staking or risking, by any person, of something of value upon the outcome of a contest of any nature or a future contingent event not under the control or influence of the person, upon an agreement or understanding that the person or another person will receive something of value in the event of a certain outcome.

      (3)      Application.  The following uses are designated as regulated uses:

            (s)      Off Track Betting Facilities.

      SECTION 2.      This Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
