Amending Section 14-529 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “/VDO, Fifth District Overlay District,” to establish use restrictions within a specified area; all under certain terms and conditions.

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. Section 14-529 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
§ 14-529. /VDO, Fifth District Overlay District.

(7) Use Regulations.
(a) Roof decks for non-residential uses are permitted within the area bounded by Callowhill Street, 19th Street, Wood Street, 18th Street, Vine Street, and 20th Street.
(b) Within the area bounded by Race Street, 19th Street, Cherry Street, and 20th Street, the following are the only uses permitted: Natural Resource Preservation; Passive Recreation; Active Recreation; Adult Care; Child Care; Community Center; Educational Facilities; Hospital; Libraries and Cultural Exhibits; Safety Services; Transit Station; Utilities and Services, Basic; Water Treatment Facilities; Medical, Dental, Health Practitioner; Government; Research and Development; Community Garden; and Market or Community-Supported Farm.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
