WHEREAS, E. Paul Sandidge was born and raised in the City of Philadelphia. Throughout his 100 years in the city, he has been a distinguished member of the West Philadelphia community and has made an indelible imprint; and

WHEREAS, E. Paul was educated in the public school system and began his collegiate education at West Virginia State College in 1942. In May 1943, he was drafted and served his country in combat in the Pacific Theater of World War II from 1943 to 1946; and

WHEREAS, After being discharged from the Army in February 1946, he returned to West Virginia State College (WVS) in September 1946 and graduated in 1948. He has been a proud and active alumna for many years, returning for alumni weekends and maintaining treasured relationships with fellow alumni while supporting the WVS legacy. Education has always been important to E. Paul. He took courses at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, matriculated in graduate studies at New York University and taught as a real estate instructor at Berean Institute (1950 to 1956), Villanova University (1974 to 1981), and Immaculata College (1978); and

WHEREAS, He began his career in real estate in 1950, working with Earl Huff until 1953. In 1953, he partnered with Arthur Fauset, becoming Sandidge and Fauset until 1959 when he bought out Fauset to become Sandidge Real Estate. He has successfully operated in the West Philadelphia area in his office at 46 N. 60th Street for over 70 years, serving the African-American community with his expertise in sales, appraisals and property management; and

WHEREAS, E. Paul has been an invaluable resource for the community, providing advice and maintaining the highest level of ethics. In the early 1960's, Sandidge Real Estate was the contracted sale...
