Also naming the 2400 block of W. Indiana Avenue as "Reverend Dr. A. W. Dock Way," in honor of Reverend Dr. Albert Wilson Dock, to commemorate his legacy as a preacher, teacher, and evangelist.

WHEREAS, Reverend Dr. Albert Wilson Dock was born and raised in the State of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Dock was committed to his studies, graduating magna cum laude from The Center for Urban Theological Studies at Geneva College, earning a Master's in Divinity from The Eastern Theological Seminary, and receiving his Doctor of Ministry degree from Palmer Theological Cemetery in 2007; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Dock is a man of God. Since 1984, Reverend Dock has been the Pastor of Philadelphia's Berean Baptist Church. Under his leadership the Church increased its membership by over 2,000 individuals; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Dock has traveled the world, spreading the word of God throughout the Caribbean, The Holy Land, and the European Continent; and
WHEREAS, The Leadership of Revered Dock has been strengthened through his vision of "bringing, blessing, and building," his mission of "seeking, saving, and serving," and his commitment to "evangelizing, educating, and equipping," all with the goal of "making people better from life's beginning to end"; and
WHEREAS, Under the Pastoral Leadership of Reverend Dock, Berean Baptist Church has implemented 28 ministries ranging from audio/video ministry, leadership training, Family Life Ministry, Bible Study, Young Male Mentoring, and many more; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Dock is dedicated to the Philadelphia Community serving as President of the Philadelphia Police Community Relations, and as a member of the Board of Directors of for Allegheny West Foundation, The One Giant Step Program, Gratz Cluster Resource Board of the Philadelphia School District, and numerous others; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Dock's dedication to teaching, preaching, and evangelizing should be memorialized; now, therefore, be it
