Honoring Roman Catholic High School's Varsity Football Team.

WHEREAS, The Roman Catholic High School Varsity Football Team has won the Catholic League title, completing their 2007-08 season with an impressive record of 12 wins and 2 losses; and
 
WHEREAS, They have set the bar extremely high for all future RCHS Football players by setting a new record for the most wins in a season; and
 
WHEREAS, The Roman Catholic High School Football Team scored 384 total points this season, earning them the rank of #1 in the Catholic League in both rushing yards and total yards; and
 
WHEREAS, The Roman Catholic High School Football Team has been named “Team of the Year” by the Philadelphia Inquirer, is ranked #1 in the City by the Philadelphia Daily News, and Ranked 6th in Pennsylvania out of 604 high schools by Maxpreps.com.; and
 
WHEREAS, The Roman Catholic High School Football Team's honored and respected leader, Coach James Murphy, was named Coach of the Year by the Philadelphia Eagles Organization; now therefore, be it
 
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That it hereby recognizes, honors, and celebrates Roman Catholic High School's Varsity Football Team, for their outstanding 2007-2008 Season; and
 
FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to Roman Catholic High School as evidence of the sincere admiration of this legislative body.
