WHEREAS, Eatible Delights Catering, founded in 1996 by David Simms, has significantly impacted the culinary and community landscape, starting with a landmark achievement at the 1996 All-Star Game where they provided Caesar salad for 750 guests; and

WHEREAS, David Simms, leveraging his early experiences with The Olive Garden and Restaurant Associates, graduated from OIC in August 2000 and continued to expand Eatible Delights Catering's reach and reputation through exceptional service and dedication, and in 2002, he received formal culinary training under Chef David Greer at La Terrasse Restaurant and secured backstage catering for The Robin Hood Dell East, showcasing his commitment to excellence in large-scale events;

WHEREAS, In 2003, Eatible Delights Catering expanded its operations by opening David's Place Restaurant, which it maintained until 2006 before relocating to Ridge Avenue, where it now operates its commissary kitchen. During this time, the business continued to provide backstage catering at The Robin Hood Dell East. Noteworthy milestones include operating a concession stand at Citizens Bank Ballpark in 2004 and catering at The Robin Hood Dell East in 2006 and 2007; and

WHEREAS, Today, located at 1540 Wadsworth Avenue, Philadelphia, PA, Eatible Delights Catering manages over 300 events annually, including notable events such as 4,500 lunches on Primary Day in May 2007, and has served high-profile clients like the City of Philadelphia, Philadelphia Parking Authority, Hon. Cherelle Parker, The Warner Theater, Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, RJ Reynolds, and numerous renowned artists including Jill Scott, Aretha Franklin, Elton John, and Patti LaBelle; and
