Honoring Anne Bovaird Nevins for her service as president of PIDC, and wishing her the best in her future endeavors.

WHEREAS, Anne Bovaird Nevins, president of PIDC, will be transitioning out of her role after 15 years as a senior leader in the organization; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Nevins has an MBA from the Wharton School and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania; and
WHEREAS, From 1999 to 2001, Mrs. Nevins served in the White House Office of Cabinet Affairs, which is responsible for coordination between the President and all cabinet agencies. She then joined the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games and managed the logistical and hospitality arrangements for all U.S. dignitaries attending the Olympics; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Nevins then managed corporate sponsorships for the Kimmel Center. She next served as director of development for Historic Philadelphia, Inc., and raised substantial funds to renovate Franklin Square, an eight-acre urban park in the center of Philadelphia's historic district; and
WHEREAS, In 2007, Mrs. Nevins joined PIDC, where she has served in a variety of senior roles. She served as Senior Vice President for Marketing and Business Development for six years, where she led a team that transformed PIDC's brand identity, developed new lending products, and generated loans to small, diverse, and growing businesses, investing over $117 million dollars across 94% of Philadelphia's zip codes; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Nevins also served as PIDC's chief strategy and communications officer, a key member of the executive team, in which role she oversaw capitalization, product development, strategic communications, and partnerships; and
WHEREAS, In January 2020, she was appointed president of PIDC; and
WHEREAS, During her tenure, PIDC invested more than $32 million in 16 commercial and mixed-use projects led by developers of color throughout Philadelphia. Mrs. Nevins also ove...
