Title
Authorizing City Council's Committee on Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs to determine the feasibility of installing surveillance cameras in all of the recreational facilities, as a means to further enhance the safety of all persons utilizing these facilities; and as a means to fight crime and violence in these facilities.
Body
      WHEREAS, Surveillance cameras have been shown to reduce the prevalence of violence in area of the City; and
 
      WHEREAS, The safety of persons who use these facilities is paramount; and
 
WHEREAS, The safety and welfare of  Philadelphia's citizens is vital to this Body; and
 
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That Council hereby authorizes City Council's Committee on Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs to determine the feasibility of installing surveillance cameras in all of the recreational facilities as a means to further enhance the safety of all persons utilizing these facilities; and as a means to fight crime and violence in these facilities.
