WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the City of Philadelphia have a proud tradition of producing exceptional football talent who have excelled at the highest levels of the sport, including Eddie George, Jahri Evans, and Erik Williams; and

WHEREAS, Jahri Evans, a proud Frankford High School alumni, went on to play college football at Bloomsburg University before being selected in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints. Over an exceptional career primarily with the Saints, he became a Super Bowl XLIV champion, earned multiple All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors, and was named to the NFL's All-Decade Team. Evans continues to contribute to the sport as the assistant offensive line coach for the New Orleans Saints; and

WHEREAS, Eddie George attended Abington Senior High School before transferring to Fork Union Military Academy, rose to national prominence as a Heisman Trophy winner, and went on to an exceptional NFL career as a running back for the Tennessee Titans and Dallas Cowboys, earning Pro Bowl honors and establishing himself as a versatile, powerful, and enduring offensive force; and

WHEREAS, Erik Williams, a John Bartram High School alumni, excelled as a standout defensive lineman, earning All-Public League honors and competing in both shot put and discus; he later became one of the most dominant offensive linemen of his era with the Dallas Cowboys, contributing to multiple Super Bowl championships and earning All-Pro recognition; and

WHEREAS, the achievements of these homegrown athletes exemplify the values of dedication, perseverance, teamwork, and excellence, and their consideration for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2026 brings honor and recognition to their hometowns and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, serving...
