Amending Chapter 20-500 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Councilmanic Districts," by revising the boundaries of the Councilmanic Districts, under certain terms and conditions.

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 20-500 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
CHAPTER 20-500. COUNCILMANIC DISTRICTS
ยง20-501. Boundaries of Districts.
Pursuant to Section 2-201 of The Philadelphia Home Rule Charter which mandates that City Council redistrict the City within six months after the publication by the United States Census Bureau of the population of the City at each decennial census, the City of Philadelphia is hereby redistricted and the following Councilmanic Districts are established:
District No. 1
[First; Second; Fifth; Twenty-fifth; Thirty-first Wards; and the First, Second, Fourth through Seventh, Tenth through Twelfth Divisions of the Eighteenth Ward; and the Seventeenth, Eighteenth, Twentieth and Twenty-fourth Divisions of the Thirty-third Ward; and the Eighth through Eleventh, Thirteenth, Fourteenth, Sixteenth through Eighteenth, Nineteenth and the Twenty-first Divisions of the Forty-fifth Ward; and the First through Twelfth, Fifteenth through Twenty-third, Twenty-fifth through Twenty-eighth, Thirtieth through Thirty-fifth, Thirty-sixth, Thirty-seventh through Fortieth, Forty-second, Forty-third, Forty-fifth, Forty-sixth Divisions of the Thirty-ninth Ward. Approximate population: one hundred fifty-seven thousand eight hundred ninety-one.]
First Ward: All Divisions.
Second Ward: All Divisions.
Fifth Ward: Divisions 1-14; 16-19; 21-22.
Eighteenth Ward: Division 5.
Twenty-third Ward: Divisions 1-9; 13-23.
Twenty-fifth Ward: Divisions 1-13; 16-17; 21-24.
Thirty-first Ward: Divisions 4-7; 10; 13-19.
Thirty-ninth Ward: Divisions 1-3; 5-12; 15-23; 25-28; 30-32; 34-35; 37-38; 40; 42-43; 45-46.
Forty-fifth Ward: Divisions 7; 13; 17-18; 21-22; 24.
