Honoring and recognizing Jeffrey W. Gordon on the occasion of his retirement from PECO, and his tireless commitment to the art, cultural and civic communities of Philadelphia and beyond.

WHEREAS, Jeffrey W. Gordon is the Manager of Corporate Relations at PECO. His group manages PECO's corporate citizenship initiatives, including sponsorships, contributions, special events and employee volunteerism; and
WHEREAS, During his tenure at PECO, Mr. Gordon managed major initiatives including but not limited to the re-lighting of Boat House Row, the opening of the Barnes and Free First Sundays, the opening of the core exhibit Audacious Freedom at the African American Museum in Philadelphia, the green roof exhibit at the Philadelphia Flower Show, the PECO Energizing Education Program, the Widener Partnership Charter School STEM Program, King Tut at the Franklin Institute and the Tanner Exhibit at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts; and
WHEREAS, Before coming to PECO in 1998, Gordon was Vice President of Corporate Community Relations at Meridian Bank for fourteen years. He developed "Money $mart", a financial literacy program for high school students and managed Meridian's involvement as founding sponsor of two major tourism events: Musikfest (Bethlehem) and Mayfair (Allentown); and
WHEREAS, Mr. Gordon began his career as an arts administrator. He was Director of Education and Community Outreach for the Hartford Stage Company and Managing Director of the Pennsylvania Stage Company in Allentown, PA; and
WHEREAS, During his career, Mr. Gordon has utilized his communications, marketing and public relations experience to help non profit and private sector organizations establish a positive identity; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Gordon has served on a number of boards and committees including the Marian Anderson Award, Congreso's Corporate Advisory Council and Cultivando Futuros Committee; the Asian Arts Initiative Strategic Planning Committee; and he s...
