Title

Amending Section 14-1402 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Parking in Residential Districts," by restricting the installation, construction or erection of garages in residential districts, under certain terms and conditions.

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1.  Section 14-1402 of The Philadelphia Code is amended to read as follows:

§14-1402.  Parking in Residential Districts.

      (1)      Provision for Parking:

            (c)      No garage shall be constructed, installed or erected on any covered blockface without a Zoning Board of Adjustment Certificate.  A covered blockface is any blockface in a Residential District on which eighty percent (80%) or more of the lots on which dwellings sit do not have a lawfully permitted garage.
