Title

Authorizing the opening of a right of way to the public on land near the intersection of the southeasterly side of Bath Street and southwesterly side of Victoria Streets, all being land owned by the City.

 

Body

WHEREAS Bill No. 100679 authorized, among other things, changes to the City Plan including vacating, abandoning, relocating, and revising the lines and grades of intersecting and adjacent streets, roads, avenues and rights of way near the Delaware Expressway (I-95), and the intersection of the southeasterly side of Bath Street and the southwesterly side of Victoria Streets is in the vicinity of the Delaware Expressway, and

 

WHEREAS, legally opening a right of way to the public  on portions of City owned land near the intersection of the southeasterly side of Bath Street and the southwesterly side of Victoria Street will support public traffic and construction of the Delaware Expressway for many years; and

 

WHEREAS, the City is the record owner and the abutting owner of the said portion of land near the intersection of the southeasterly side of Bath Street and the southwesterly side of Victoria Street; now, therefore,

 

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

 

SECTION 1. The Board of Surveyors of the Department of Streets is hereby authorized to adopt a resolution declaring portions of land near the intersection of the southeasterly side of Bath and southwesterly side of Victoria Street, all being land owned by the City of Philadelphia, to be legally open to the public as a right of way.
