WHEREAS, The Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority (hereinafter "Redevelopment Authority") has prepared and submitted an urban renewal plan and a redevelopment proposal for the redevelopment of the Kingsessing Urban Renewal Area (hereinafter "Kingsessing"), which said plan and proposal were approved by Ordinance of the Council on February 13, 2003, as amended; and

WHEREAS, The Redevelopment Authority has prepared a redevelopment contract for a portion of Kingsessing, identified by house number and street address as 6024-6026 Greenway avenue (the "Property"). The area of the Property is bounded as follows:

6024-6026 Greenway avenue.

ALL THAT CERTAIN lot or piece of ground situated in the Fortieth Ward of the City of Philadelphia beginning at a point on the Southeasterly side of Greenway avenue (eighty feet wide) at the distance of two hundred thirty-eight feet seven inches southwestwardly from the southwesterly side of Sixtieth street (sixty feet wide); Containing in front or breadth along the southeasterly side of the said Greenway avenue forty feet and extending that width in length or depth southeastwardly between parallel lines at right angles to the said Greenway avenue eighty feet.

The said redevelopment contract is in substantial conformity with the amended urban renewal plan and the amended redevelopment proposal approved by the Council; and
