Title: Septembe 14, 2000 To the President and the Member of the Council of the City of Philadelphia: I am returning herewith as requested by your Resolution adopted September 14, 2000, Bill No. 000088, entitled, "An Ordinance Amending Title 17 of The Philadelphia Code, relating to the 'Contracts and Procurement,' by amending Chapter 17-500, entitled 'Goals For the Participation Of Minority, Female And Disabled Owned Business in City Contracts' to extend the life of the Minority Business Enterprise Council ('MBEC'), grant authority to MBEC to monitor participation of minority, female, disabled owned business and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in all City contracts, City Agnecies and City Quasi-Public Agencies, and to require regular reporting to City Council, all under certain terms and conditions," for the purpose opf reconsideration by the Council vote by which said bill passed Council.
