Honoring and congratulating Champions of the Week, Imhotep Institute and Roman Catholic High School's boys basketball teams, for their respective victories in the Public League and Catholic League championships.
Body
WHEREAS, Imhotep Institute Charter School has now been victorious in the last three Philadelphia Public League championships and has won a total of eleven Public championships; and,
WHEREAS, Roman Catholic High School has now won an impressive thirty-eight Philadelphia Catholic League championships, more than any other Catholic League team; and,
WHEREAS, The Imhotep Panthers excelled in the Public League final, with a 72-43 victory over West Philadelphia High School; and,
WHEREAS, The Roman Catholic Cahillites fought hard in their 57-52 victory over defending Catholic League champions, Neumann Goretti Catholic High School; and,
WHEREAS, Coach Andre Noble of Imhotep, Coach Chris McNesby and Managers Ahmed Keita and Joe Dever of Roman Catholic, should be honored for their dedication to their student-athletes and for the advancement of the sport in the City of Philadelphia; and,
WHEREAS, Imhotep's roster should be congratulated for their victory: Ahmad Nowell, Rahmir Barno, RJ Smith, Justin Edwards, Baasil Saunders, Malcolm Muhammad, Zaahir Muhammad-Gray, Isaiah Kennedy, Makye Taylor, Milak Myatt, Yahmir Satterfield, Devin Carter, Carnell Henderson, Jeremiah White, and Amaury Hunter; and,
WHEREAS, Roman Catholic's roster should be congratulated for their victory: Xzayvier Brown, Sammy Jackson, Bryce Hillman, Justin Ezeukwu, Will Felder, Shareef Jackson, Anthony Finkley, Robert Cottrell, Sebastian Edwards, Jermai Stewart-Herring, Erik Oliver-Bush, and Jayden Rounbehler; and,
WHEREAS, Justin Edwards, the No. 1 ranked High School player in the country, was Imhotep's Most Valuable Player, scoring a game-leading 25 points; and,
