Title

Amending Section 12-701 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “Designation of Bicycle Lanes,” to authorize a bicycle lane in each direction on Bartram Avenue, from 84th Street to Essington Avenue; and making associated changes to parking regulations within the same limits; all under certain terms and conditions.

 

Body

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

 

SECTION 1. Section 12-701 of The Philadelphia Code is amended to read as follows:

 

§ 12-701. Designation of Bicycle Lanes.

(2)                      The Department is authorized to designate a bicycle lane upon the following streets and regulate the operation and use of vehicles and bicycles upon such streets in a manner consistent with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) regulations:

(*)                      Bartram Avenue, both sides, from 84th street to Essington avenue.

SECTION 2.  The following parking regulations shall be amended on Bartram Avenue from 84th street to Bartram avenue to:

 

NO STOPPING ANYTIME

 

SECTION 3.  This Ordinance shall take effect as follows:

 

(a)                     Section 1: Immediately.

(b)                     Section 2: Upon replacement of parking signage consistent with this Ordinance.
