Honoring and congratulating the Neumann-Goretti boys basketball team on winning the PIAA State Championship.

WHEREAS, Guided by Coach Carl Arrigale and his dedicated staff, Assistant Coaches Pat Sorrentino, Aaron Abbot, Michael Casey, Emil Moody, Micah Coen, Matt Hankerson, Drew Bowman, and Howie Briskin. The Neumann-Goretti Saints Boys Basketball team did it again defeating Hershey High Trojans 85-71 to bring home their 10th PIAA State Championship at the Giant Center in Hershey PA on March 29, 2025; and
WHEREAS, This championship wasn't won by just a few it was a collective effort from the entire team, whose depth, defense, and determination pushed them to victory. Shoutout to the entire squad who contributed throughout the season. The team: DeShawn Yates, Stephon Ashley-Wright, Jr., Kody Colson, Keon Long-Mtume, Ennest (EJ) Stanton, Rashwan Kim, Cassius Law, Oreace Torrence, Ayden Lewis, Alassan N'Diaye, Ethan Tran, Oscar Briskin, Eric Green, Don Juan (DJ) Clark, Cain Van Norden, Loki Van Norden, Jahyden Williams, and Ethan Vest; and
WHEREAS, This wasn't just a game it was a test of heart, resilience, and determination. The Saints rose to the challenge, showcasing their teamwork, grit and championship mentality to bring home yet another title! Now tied for the most Championships in state history. Every player contributed, every moment mattered, and, in the end, the Saints stood tall once again; and
WHEREAS, A couple of stats from this championship team: Stephon Ashley-Wright led the charge with 27 points, but this victory was a total team effort, with clutch performances across the board. Stephon Ashley-Wright - 2nd Team All Catholic lead the team in scoring with 17.5 ppg, Alassan N'Diaye 2nd Team All Catholic led the team in rebounds with 8.5 ppg, DeShawn Yates led the team in assists and steals per game with 5.9 and 2.8 respectively; now, therefore, be it
