Honoring Mark Anthony Ciarlante.

      WHEREAS, Mark Anthony Ciarlante has a number of names, including Mark Anthony and, by far the most well-known, The TigerMan; and
 
      WHEREAS, Mr. Anthony, as he calls himself when not in his TigerMan costume, studied acting and modeling, earned parts in shows, commercials, worked as the 1999 Marian Anderson Recreation Center Summer Day Camp director and in general sacrificed a growing career in drama to become TigerMan full-time; and
 
      WHEREAS, In his TigerMan role, Mr. Anthony, a true native son, decided that youngsters needed a positive, stable role model who could use his talents to help students fight hate, reject violence, promote mutual respect and in general work toward a better future; and
 
      WHEREAS, Through work in schools, day care centers, anti-violence rallies, recreation centers and camps, Mr. Anthony, through his company, TM Productions, also teaches conflict resolution safety and other forms of guidance which can direct youngsters to positive paths in their lives; now therefore
 
      RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That we hereby honor and commend Mr. Mark Anthony, known and loved as The TigerMan.  We thank him for all his fine work, and offer the hope that his activities will expand through the years.
 
      RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to Mark Anthony, The TigerMan, as evidence of the respect and admiration of this legislative body.
