THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:


SECTION 1. Title 10 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Regulation of Individual Conduct and Activity," is amended to read as follows:

Chapter 10-1000. FEES

ยง10-1001. Fees of Commissioner of Records.

(1) [In addition to any surcharge imposed under subsection 10-1001(2)] Unless otherwise specified by law, the fees to be charged and collected by the Commissioner of Records shall be as follows:

(a) for recording deeds, $[19.50]46.00;

[(b) for registration of deeds which the Commissioner of Records is required to register or have registered, $5.00 for each description in such deed, in addition to the recording fee;]

([c]b) for recording mortgages, mortgage satisfaction pieces, the release and assignment of mortgages, notary public commissions, City, county, or special police officer commissions, powers of attorney, and any other instrument of writing, including filings under the Uniform Commercial Code, $[19.50]41.00;

[(d) for recording commission with bond and oath for notary public, City or county officer, $12.00, special police officer, $9.00;

(e) for certification of special police officer's oath, $2.00;

(f) for recording mortgage satisfaction piece, sixteen dollars and fifty cents ($16.50), plus five ($5.00) dollars per notation;

(g) for recording assignment of mortgages, $19.50;

(h) for recording release of mortgage, $19.50;

(i) for recording all other instruments of writing, including filings under the Uniform Commercial Code, $14.50;

(j) for a search of Uniform Commercial Code records, per debtor named, $10.00;

(k) for initial receipt and examination of any instrument affecting real estate, five ($5.00) dollars for each description in suc...
