Honoring Michael McNair.

WHEREAS, At just fifteen years old, Michael McNair has accomplished more than most young people ever dream of; and
 
WHEREAS, He was a child prodigy whose talents led him to begin performing at the age of three, and then he was off and running, appearing in movies, soap operas, videos, TV commercials, and theatrical productions; and
 
WHEREAS, He has appeared in the movies “Wide Awake,” “Snake Eyes,” and “Preacher's Wife,” and has been featured on a Boyz II Men video as well as the soap opera “As the World Turns”; and
 
WHEREAS, In addition to his success as an actor, Michael has an impressive list of academic, social and athletic achievements. He has been taking classes for many years in Chang Moo Kwan Tae Kwon Do, and he has attained an advanced blue belt. He has received a Merit Award for outstanding grades at the Albert M. Greenfield School, where he somehow finds time to be on the yearbook staff; and
      
WHEREAS, Michael clearly has well-grounded values, a focused personal agenda and a great future ahead of him. For all of this, he thanks his parents, which we know tells us much about them, and also about him; now therefore
 
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That we hereby honor Michael McNair for his outstanding accomplishments in school and in the theatrical arena.
 
FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to Michael McNair as evidence of the sincere sentiments and very best wishes of this legislative body.
