WHEREAS, St. Alban Lodge No. 529, Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania, has been selected as the host lodge for the 2024 International Gathering of Lodges named St. Albans, an event that brings together Freemasons and their families from around the world who are members of masonic lodges named St. Alban; and
WHEREAS, The International Gathering of Lodges named St. Albans is an annual event promoting camaraderie, fraternity, and brotherhood, uniting members of these lodges in the spirit of fellowship and shared values; and
WHEREAS, The 2024 event is expected to draw over 200 attendees and will be held at Ionic Hall in the historic Masonic Temple at One North Broad Street in Philadelphia, providing a unique opportunity to highlight the city's deep connection to the Freemason community; and
WHEREAS, St. Alban Lodge No. 529, founded on the principles of charity, truth, and brotherly love, is dedicated to fostering a sense of community and service both within its membership and throughout the city of Philadelphia; and
WHEREAS, The International Gathering of Lodges named St. Albans strengthens the bonds between lodges across the globe, allowing members to exchange ideas and best practices while celebrating the rich traditions of Freemasonry; and
WHEREAS, St. Alban Lodge No. 529 has formally requested recognition of this important event through the issuance of a proclamation honoring the occasion and the work of the Freemasons, who continue to contribute to the cultural and civic fabric of Philadelphia; now, therefore, be it
