Honoring Kal Rudman for his passionate participation and Philanthropic work with the Citizens Crime Commission of the Delaware Valley.

WHEREAS, Kal Rudman, founder and publisher of the radio and music industry publication The Friday Morning Quarterback has committed his philanthropic work to a variety of social causes including education and public safety; and
 
WHEREAS, Mr. Rudman and his lovely wife Lucille have a particular passion and care for the City and citizens of Philadelphia as evidenced in their foundation support of countless scholarships and awards for students of the arts, supporting police and fire training and helping children in need; and
 
WHEREAS, Mr. Rudman's generosity and compassion extends to our City's four-legged citizens, as he routinely provides funds to keep our K-9 crime fighting units safe by providing them with bullet-proof vests; and
 
WHEREAS, Mr. Rudman, having grown up in North Philadelphia near the Fire training school, is a constant advocate for not only fire safety, by routinely providing resources for fire detectors to be placed in homes, and by proudly supporting the growth of our firefighters by providing scholarships to those pursuing bachelor's degrees; and
 
WHEREAS, Mr. Rudman's support of the Citizens Crime Commission of the Delaware Valley allows the organization to continue to do the tremendous work it does in our community, diligently working to make Philadelphia a safe and secure City; now therefore
 
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That we hereby congratulate and thank Mr. Rudman for his unending generosity and support of the Citizens Crime Commission of the Delaware Valley, and wish him continued success and gratitude for his numerable contributions to the City of Philadelphia.
 
FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to Mr. Rudman as evidence of the sincere sentiments of this legislative body.
