THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
 
 
Section 1.  Chapter 12-2700 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
 
 
CHAPTER 12-2700. PERMIT PARKING DISTRICTS.

§ 12-2705.  Issuance of Resident Parking Permits.

      (a)      Subject to the provisions of subsections (b), (c), (d), and (e) of this Section, the Department of Licenses and Inspections shall issue to an applicant who has submitted a permit fee of thirty-five ($35.00) dollars and completed permit application one (1) resident parking permit for the vehicle described in the application[, except that in Permit Parking District 8, the permit fee for each permit, in excess of one (1) for any one (1) household, shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00)].

§ 12-2706. Renewal of Resident Parking Permits.
  1. Upon submission by the holder of a resident parking permit of a renewal fee of twenty (20) dollars and a completed renewal application on or before the expiration date of the holder's resident parking permit, the Department of Licenses and Inspections shall issue a new resident parking permit to the applicant[, except that in Permit Parking District 8, the renewal fee for each permit, in excess of one (1) for any one (1)  household, shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00)].

Section 2.  This Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
