Title

Authorizing the Commissioner of Public Property on behalf of the City to convey 816 North 16th Street, 826 North 12th Street, 918 North 19th Street, 1015 North Leithgow Street, and 1116 North 4th Street for fair market value, under certain terms and conditions.

Body

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

      SECTION 1.      The Commissioner of Public Property on behalf of the City of Philadelphia is hereby authorized to execute and deliver deeds conveying fee simple title to  parcels of land with any improvements thereon, located at 816 North 16th Street, 826 North 12th Street, 918 North 19th Street, 1015 North Leithgow Street, and 1116 North 4th Street and as more specifically described in Exhibit “A,” upon the best terms obtainable after appropriate public advertising and the receipt of competitive bids, and at fair market value.

      SECTION 2.      The City Solicitor is hereby authorized to review and approve all  instruments and documents necessary to effectuate this Ordinance, which instruments and documents shall contain such terms and conditions as the City Solicitor shall deem necessary and proper to protect the interests of the City and to carry out the purposes of this Ordinance.

EXHIBIT "A"

816 North 16^th Street

ALL THAT CERTAIN lot or piece of ground, SITUATE on the corner formed by the intersection of the West side of 16^th Street with the North side of Parrish Street in the 15^th Ward of the City of Philadelphia.

CONTAINING in front or breadth on the said 16^th Street 18 feet and extending of that width in length or depth Westward between lines parallel with and along the said North side of Parrish Street, 80 feet to a certain 5 feet wide alley which extends into and from the said Parrish Street.

BOUNDED Northward by ground now or late of Robert Demster, Eastward by said 16^th Street, Southward by said Parrish Street and Westward by said 5 feet wide alley.

TOGETHER with the free and common use, right, liberty and privilege of the aforesaid alley as and for a passageway and watercourse in common with the owners, tenants and occupiers of the other lots of ground bounding thereon at all times hereafter, forever.

BEING No. 816 North 16^th Street.

826 North 12^th Street

ALL THAT CERTAIN lot or piece of ground.

SITUATE on the West side of 12^th Street at the distance of 35 feet Southward from the South side of Parrish Street in the 14^th Ward of the City of Philadelphia.

CONTAINING in front or breadth on the said 12^th Street 16 feet and extending in length or depth Westward between parallel lines at right angles with said 12^th Street the North line thereof 72 feet 2-1/8 inches and on the South line thereof 74 feet 6 inches including on the North side thereof one half of an alley 2 feet wide in the clear by 32 feet deep from said 12^th Street to be left open forever for the mutual accommodation as a passageway and watercourse of this lot and adjoining lot to the Northward with the right of building over the same to the middle thereof leaving it clear and unobstructed to the height of 6 feet above the curb level opposite thereto.

BOUNDED Northward by ground granted to Thomas Armington Eastward by said 12^th Street Southward by ground granted to George P. Steinasts and Westward by ground now or late of Josiah Dawson and Rebecca Dawson.

BEING NO. 826 N. 12^th Street

918 North 19^th Street

ALL THAT CERTAIN lot or piece of ground with the buildings and improvements thereon erected.

SITUATE at the Southwest corner of 19^th (late Schuylkill Fourth) Street and Cambridge Street, in the 29^th Ward (formerly the 20^th) of the City of Philadelphia.

CONTAINING in front or breadth on said 19^th Street 16 feet and extending in length or depth Westward along said Cambridge Street 67 feet, 6 inches to a 2 feet, 6 inches wide alley and being in breadth on the rear end thereof 16 feet, 2inches and 3/8 of an inch.

BEING KNOWN AS 918 North 19^th Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

TOGETHER with the free and common use, liberty and privilege of the aforementioned alley as and for a passageway and watercourse at all times hereafter, forever.

1015 North Leithgow Street

ALL THAT CERTAIN lot or piece of ground, SITUATE on the East side of Leithgow Street at the distance of 126 feet, 11 inches Northward from the North side of George Street in the 5^th Ward of the City of Philadelphia.

CONTAINING in front or breadth on said Leithgow Street 18 feet and extending of that width in length or depth Eastwardly at right angles to Leithgow Street 41 feet, 11-1/2 inches.

BEING NO. 1015 N. Leithgow Street.

1116 North 4^th Street

ALL THAT CERTAIN lot or piece of ground, SITUATE on the West side of 4^th Street at the distance of 139 feet, 9 inches Northward from the North side of George Street in the 5^th Ward of the City of Philadelphia.

CONTAINING in front or breadth on said 4^th Street 18 feet and extending of that width in length or depth 58 feet.
