Title
Authorizing the Commissioner of Public Property, on behalf of the City of Philadelphia, to convey to the Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development, a parcel of land with the improvements thereon, located at 921-27 Ellsworth Street, for further conveyance, under certain terms and conditions.
 
Body
      WHEREAS, the City's Office of Housing and Community Development issued a publicly advertised request for proposals for the development of certain City owned land located at 921-27 Ellsworth Street; and
      
      WHEREAS, St. Maron's CDC and BCM Affordable Housing were selected to construct affordable housing for seniors on the property; now, therefore
      
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
 
      SECTION 1. The Commissioner of Public Property, on behalf of the City of Philadelphia, is hereby authorized to convey to the Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development (“PAID”), a parcel of land with the improvements thereon, located at 921-27 Ellsworth Street, as more particularly identified by the shaded area on the map attached hereto as Exhibit “A,” for further conveyance.
 
      SECTION 2. Conveyance of the property to PAID is conditioned upon a  commitment to an Economic Opportunity Plan in accordance with Section 17-1602 of The Philadelphia Code, as amended.
      SECTION 3. The City Solicitor is hereby authorized to review and to approve all instruments and documents necessary to effectuate this Ordinance, and to impose such terms and conditions on them as the City Solicitor may deem necessary and proper to protect the interests of the City of Philadelphia and to carry out the  purpose of this Ordinance.
