WHEREAS, LoJack Corporation invented the stolen vehicle recovery market more than 25 years ago and has since become the global leader in finding and recovering a wide range of mobile assets including cars, construction equipment and motorcycles-having recovered more than 300,000 stolen assets worldwide; and

WHEREAS, In 2008, LoJack introduced SafetyNet by LoJack, a service designed to help public safety agencies bring loved ones -- who wander - home safely; and

WHEREAS, The service utilizes proven Radio Frequency technology and works directly with law enforcement and other public safety agencies to help rescue individuals with autism, Alzheimer's, dementia and other similar cognitive conditions who have wandered and become lost; and

WHEREAS, The SafetyNet Service is composed of time-tested and proven electronic search and rescue equipment, direct integration with law enforcement and public safety agencies, in-depth training and certification for search and rescue personnel on electronic search and rescue procedures as well as techniques for approaching people with cognitive conditions, and a secure database of key client information to assist in search and rescue operations; and

WHEREAS, Since its inception in The City of Philadelphia, SafetyNet by LoJack has been an invaluable tool to the Police Department in saving the lives of several Philadelphians; and

WHEREAS, In keeping to there commitment to The Philadelphia Community, LoJack Corporation is offering free SafetyNet devices to caregivers of Philadelphians who suffer from cognitive conditions, and waiving the enrollment and monthly fees for a full six months, allowing families to experience the service without any financial commitment; now therefore
