THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. Permission is hereby granted to Ana Garcia ("Owner") to construct, own and maintain a right-of-way encroachment ("Encroachment") at 1900 E. Somerset Street as follows:

Encroachment Description:

Existing covered external steel stairs to the second floor of the referenced location.

From the point of intersection of curb at the southwest corner of Jasper and East Somerset Streets, a point approximately twenty eight feet six inches (28'-6") west of the westerly Somerset Street curb line and twelve feet (12'-0") south of the southerly curb line of Jasper Street. A variable height encroachment from this point, being along the houseline of 1900 East Somerset Street a distance of approximately twenty one feet ten inches (21'-10") and extending three feet four inches (3'-4") into the southerly footway of Jasper Street, with eight feet eight inches (8'-8") of passable sidewalk remaining. Total height of encroachment, from existing sidewalk level to a height not to exceed nineteen feet eight inches (19'-8").


SECTION 2. The construction, use and maintenance of the Encroachment described and listed in Section 1 shall be in accordance with the laws, rules and regulations of the City of Philadelphia, and specifically those of the Department of Licenses and Inspections and the Department of Streets, provided that the Department of Streets, in its sole, unreviewable discretion, may allow minor variations of the dimension limits of Section 1, within standard tolerances of current engineering practice.

SECTION 3. Before exercising any rights or privileges under this Ordinance, Owner must first obtain or have its contractor(s) obtain all required permits, licenses and approval...
