The Council of the City of Philadelphia hereby honors, congratulates, commends and thanks June Spring on the occasion of her retirement after 29 years of dedicated and excellent service to the City of Philadelphia.

WHEREAS, June Spring has had an incredible career at Wawa and will leave an indelible impression in the minds and hearts of all customers and associates; and

WHEREAS, June Spring is distinguished for her longevity and quality of service, and her commitment to excellence in serving her community; and

WHEREAS, June Spring is retiring on December 31, 2014, after 29 years of service with Wawa, Inc. ("Wawa") a bittersweet day for the Wawa family and the City of Philadelphia, who will remember her great work ethic and commitment for all the days to come; and

WHEREAS, June Spring worked to improve and serve the Philadelphia community, and is distinguished for her tireless devotion as evidenced by her commitment to championing charities near and dear to her heart such as The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Penn Vet Center; and

WHEREAS, June Spring forged strong, meaningful connections with state and local officials in order to create positive change throughout the City of Philadelphia; and

WHEREAS, June Spring will serve as a life-time example of what it means to support others, as evidenced through her long-standing commitment and support of the Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce where she has served as a Board member since 2002 and been instrumental in building strong relationships between small and large businesses-- a collaboration that has strengthened the Northeast business community; and

WHEREAS, June Spring has played a vital role in supporting the Philadelphia Fire and Police Departments and their efforts to serve and keep Philadelphia neighborhoods safe through her work with programs such as the ...
