WHEREAS, The Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority (hereinafter "Redevelopment Authority") has prepared and submitted an urban renewal plan and a redevelopment proposal for the redevelopment of the Whitman Urban Renewal Area (hereinafter "Whitman"), which said plan and proposal were approved by Ordinance of the Council on September 2, 1964, as amended; and

WHEREAS, The Redevelopment Authority has prepared a redevelopment contract for a portion of Whitman, identified by house number and street address as 509 Wolf street (the "Property"). The area of the Property is bounded as follows:

509 Wolf street.

ALL THAT CERTAIN lot or piece of ground situated in the Thirty-ninth Ward of the City of Philadelphia beginning at a point on the north side of Wolf street (sixty feet wide) at the distance of thirty-two feet eastward from the east side of Reese street (thirty feet wide); Containing in front or breadth on the said Wolf street sixteen feet and extending of that width in length or depth northward fifty-seven feet to a point including the soil of a certain three feet wide alley that extends westward into the said Reese street and communicating with a certain four feet wide alley that extends along the east line of property and southward into the said Wolf street.

The said redevelopment contract is in substantial conformity with the amended urban renewal plan and the amended redevelopment proposal approved by the Council; and

WHEREAS, James Close, desires to enter into the said redevelopment contract for the Property.
